RAFTING

 

Rafting is organized on the Beas during periods mid May to Jun end and during Sep – Oct.

We will give you specific outings as you need for future leaders to include white water rafting, aero sports, treks, rock climbing, adventure, explorations & alpine climbing.

It will be our privilege to prepare you for your "Everest", if that be your dream! Just tell us what do you wish to reach out for - Goddess Mother Chomulguma, K2- Mount Godwin Austin, K22 -the Golden Mountain, Holy Shivling or Nanga Parbhat - the killer mountain ...? We would enable you.

SPITI RIVER EXPEDITION.

 

The name Spiti ( Tibetan ; piti) means the “middle land” . The land between India and Tibet. River Spiti originates from the eastern slopes of the mountain range that runs between lahoul and Spiti. With stark, brown and dry landscape the valley has many famous and more than 1000 year old monastery.The highland villages and fluttering prayer flags,and  miles of rolling pastures is a stunning countryside. 

 

Day 01  Dli – Manali  O/N HTL.

Day 02  Local Sightseeing in Manali ,Visit Naggar Art gallery and the Castle.

Day 03  Drive Manali – Tackcha O/N camp over the Kunzom Pass 4500m.

Day 04  Drive to Kiato and raft to Rangrik 6hrs Camp.

Day 05  Drive to Key –Kibber – Comic and Back to Camp.

Day 06  Raft to Attargu bridge Visit Dhankar and drive to Mikkim in the pin

            Valley.Home stay/Camp.

Day 07  Visit Kungri Gompa and Raft from Gulling on the Pin to below Poh Village (3.5

              hrs.) O/N Camp.

Day 08  Raft from Poh – Tabo HTL.

Day 09 Drive Tabo – Sangla Long drive O/N camp.

Day 10 Drive Sangla – Shimla .O/N Htl.

Day 11 Drive to Dli .

THE ZANSKAR RIVER EXPEDITION

Zanskar the land of the highest inhabitants of our planet. A land of black wolves and blue poppies, ibex and Snow leopards , glaciers and tundra, of howling wind and freezing cold. A land populated by spirits and monks ,maidens and archers, a land with cave monasteries and fast streams. Rafting down the Zanskar river takes You down the extremely desolate, remote and sheer gorge section ,this classic journey is a trip of life time.

 

Day 01 Fly leh Dli Trnsfer to Htl.

Day 02 Sight seeing Around leh ,Visit Shey,Thiksey And Hemis monasteries.

Day 03 Drive Leh – Kargil (230km 8 hrs) over the Fotu La 4300 m O/N HTL.

Day 04 Drive Kargil  - RangDum  7hrs .A spectacular drive past Panikhar and Parkachik,with magnificient view of Nun and Kun massifs (7000m), hanging glaciers and large meadows.

Day 05 Drive Rangdum – Remala Village ( 3650m 6 hrs .) Our rafting start point on the Stod river,a tributary of the Zanskar river. We drive over Pensi La (14500ft) and view the Zanskar ranges and the Drung durumg Glacier. O/N camp

Day 06 Beginning of the rafting Expedition ,we raft Down to the Karsha bridge 30km (3/4 hrs) class 11 sec. O/N camp. In the evening we can visit the Karsha monastery.

Day 07 Karsha – Pidmu 25km Stretch 3hrs with class 11 and 111 rapids.Anothe reasy day in the river.

Day 08 Pidmu – Nyerak (3300m,25 km 3 hrs.) Class 111 section.This section is all a george section.

Day 09 Nyerak – Lama guru ( 35 km 4/5 hrs.) today we have a class 111 and a 1V rapid.Also at a point the river is at its narrowest . We stop for lunch at the waterfall.

O/N camp  

Day 10 Lamaguru to Nimu  3/4 hrs .We raft down to the confluence of Zanskar and the Indus near the Nimu village and drive to Leh.HTL

Day11 Drive to the airport and fly to Dli.

 

SATLUJ RIVER EXPEDITION

 

Day 01 Drive Dli – Shimla O/N HTL

Day 02 Drive to Pandowa Camp on the Satluj O/N camp.

Day 03 Drive upto Luhri and Raft down to Pundowa camp 20 km.We have to stop enroute to portage a grade 6 rapid .O/N camp.

Day 04 After breakfast Raft from Pandowa to tattapani 25 km has class 4 rapids. Visit hot spring and O/N camp camp fire and dinner.

Day 05  Now the self contained part of the trip begins ,everything to be loaded on the Rafts .Going through a beautiful gorge we Raft down 30 km. Class 3,4 O Camp at Kadai ke fer.

Day 06  Raft down 30 km class 3 section to our second camp in the gorge.

Day 07  After breakfast, we raft 20km down a class 3 section to end our trip at Salapper

              Bridge. And drive to CHD 4 hrs ( 150km). Board evening Shatabadi Express

              Back to Dli.
