TREKKING DETAILS  LAHOUL,ZANSKAR & LADAKH REGION

Trek no.01       THE KINGDOM OF ZANSKAR

DARCHA –PADUM-LAMAYURU

Day 01. Arrive Delhi trnsf. overnight Htl .

Day 02  fly Dli – Manali over night Htl.

Day 03 Day SSeeing at Manali for acclimatization.

Day 04 Drive Mnli – Gespa/Darcha  over Rohtang pass (3978mtrs)camp.

Day 05 . Trek Gespa/Darcha – Pah lahmo through the right bank of Barai River. Crossing the village of Chikka and Rerri the last village of Lahoul region.

Day 06 – Trek Pah Lhamo to Zhankar Sumdo.

Day 07 -14 Trek  Z .Sumdo – Padum. As we now enter into an awesome vista of bare chocolate coloured mountains,after leaving the lush green Kullu Valley.We have to cross the Singola pass(5100mtrs.) and then enter the stunningly beautiful and extremely remote Zanskar Valley we come across no.of Zanskari Villages.Trek carry’s on to Padum, Once an ancient capital of the three provinces of Zanskar.Now has an access to road.Their is an option to end up ur trek here and Drive to Leh with a night halt at Kargil.

Day 14 -20 Trek Padum –Photoksar.After crossing numerous passes and visiting the old & famous Monastery of Karsha, We then cross many different and remote villages of Zanskar.

Day 21-22  Photoksar – Wanla – Leh  Trek Photoksar to Hanupatta next day trek to Wanla O/n  Camp.

Day -23 Drive to Leh Via lama Yuru  O/N Htl.

Day - 24 Rest Day Local sight seeing .

Day-25 Day trip to Shey,Hemis and Thiksey monasteries.

Day -26 Fly Leh –Dli.

Trek no. 02 EDGE OF TIBETIAN PLATEAU ‘ RUPSHU TRAIL’

DARCHA – SARCHU – HEMIS TREK

Day -01  Arrive Dli. Overnight Htl.

Day- 02  fly Dli –Manali overnight camp.

Day -03  Day at Manali Sight seeing and acclaimatization.

Day -04 Drive Mnli – Keylong  overngt Htl.

Day-05  Drive Keylong – Keylang Sarai Camp.

Day-06 -12 Trek over Phirse la (17260ft) and after visiting the famous 500 yrs old Phuktal Gompa reach Padum .A small town with more muslim population and the administrative head quarter of the region.

Day-13-20 Padum- jumlam from Padum drive to stondeh and continue on to Zangla explore local village and the Royal palace at Zangla. After crossing Passes and crossing numerous streams you end up at jumlam a day rest .

Day-21-24  Trek over Rubrang La and descend into the Markha valley,continue descend into Indus valley after crossing the summit of Kongmare La (18000’) the highest point of the trek.Reach Hemis and drive to Leh  overnight HTL.

Day-25 Free day in Leh

Day-26 Fly Leh – Dli.

Day-27 Depart India.

Trek no. 03 “ TAK – HEMIS TREK”

Day -01  Arrive Dli. Overnight Htl.

Day- 02  fly Dli –Manali overnight camp.

Day -03  Day at Manali Sight seeing and acclaimatization.

Day -04 Drive Mnli – Keylong  overngt Htl.

Day-05 -10 Drive to Brandi nallah and start trekking ,After crossing Mooring La  and watching many Bhudhist stupas (chorthan) enroute and crossing many fluttering prayer flags U reach Dutt village with prayer wheels near the village.overnight Camp

Day-11 -13  Dutt-Hanker continue trek to Sora village the valley starts getting greener,After crossing Zorang Karpo La  U reach Hanker village Camp.

Day-14 -15 Hanker –Nimaling –Shang ,Trek across the wide open meadow of Nimaling and after crossing the Kogmaru La descend down to the village of Shang the final camp of the trek.

Day-16 Continue the descend into the Indus valley arriving at the monastery of Hemis.Drive back to Leh.

Day-17 Free day for sight seeing around leh.

Day-18 Fly Leh Dli.

Day-19 Depart India.

MARKHA VALLEY TREK

Day 01 : Arrive Leh and transfer to the Hotel.  Lunch at Hotel and rest of the day free. Dinner and O/N stay in Hotel .

Day 02 :     Half-day sightseeing tour in Leh. Rest of the day free. O/N stay in Hotel. (BLD)

DAY 03             LEH - SPITUK - ZINCHEN  Drive / Trek 4 Hours

DAY 04 - 07    ZINCHEN - YURUTSE – MARKHA - THACHUNGTSETrek  5 Hours

Trek over the gandala crossing the village of skiu,Today again an easy ascend of about 5 hours to hamlet of Yurutse. Overnight camp.

DAY 08             THACHUNGTSE - NIMALING –SHANG

Trek over kongmarula ,with view of beautiful surrounding peaks.O/N CAmp

DAY 10             SHANG – HEMIS - LEH    Trek 3 - 4 Hours

A short and easy trek again down to Martselang village, here we meet our vehicular transport and bid good bye to our pony crew. We drive to monastery for a visit and then move towards Leh. En-route visit Thiksey and Shey monastery, if time allows. Check in at hotel.

DAY 11             Departure

Morning transfer to Leh airport.

TREK TO TSO MORIRI LAKE

Day – 01 Drive Dli Manali O/N HTL.

Day -02  At Manali Local Sight seeing .

Day 03 - 05Drive Manali Kaza ( 9 hrs ) O/N HtL / camp. Excursion Around Spiti , Dhankar & Tabo,Monastery , Pin valley ,Kibber  enroute visit Key Monastery O/N camp.

Day 06-10 Trek to  South of Tso moriri Lake Lake over Parang la ( 5600m). Now U are in the Changthang valley.The valley widens up now. Here u com across numerous nomads  with their herds of Yak, sheep ,goats and horses. O/N camp

Day 11-15 Trek to Karzok and then to tsokar over the  Horlamkonka La ( 4900m)

Day 16 Drive to Leh O/N HTL

Day17 – 18 Leh Excursion.

Day 19  Fly to Dli.
